Hayward Aviation Limited are proud to have been appointed insurance brokers (jointly with Colemann Insurance Brokers of Poole, Dorset) to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust in respect of their new aircraft which became operational on the 1st October 2008. The aircraft will be the second machine operated in the county providing air ambulance cover for the south of the county.

Many people may not be aware that UK air ambulances are not funded by central government but wholly from charitable contributions and it has taken a massive effort over the last four years for Devon to be able to purchase their own machine.

This particular aircraft has many modifications which are new due to the close liaison between the paramedics who are to fly in the aircraft and Eurocopter UK who fitted out the aircraft.
