Once again the Exhibition Hall and hard standing area at Duxford Imperial War Museum played host to Helitech 05 between 27th - 29th September 2005.
While final numbers are still to be published Helitech 05 seems to have been very popular and from informal conversations with some fellow exhibitors, a worthwhile event for all attendees.
A full complement of Hayward staff attended the event over the three days and we were delighted to welcome old friends and new acquaintances to our stand throughout the three days.
Located centrally in the Exhibition Hall the new look Hayward Aviation Limited stand attracted plenty of attention, including a number of visitors who took the Hayward Su Doku challenge to win a bottle of champagne.
Three lucky winners (one per day) were rewarded for their efforts in completing the challenge.
Over the course of the Show we completed some successful business matters including:
- A number of appointments to act as insurance brokers for several new clients
- The successful completion of renewals for a number of clients presently renewing their insurance programmes
- The resolution of some outstanding administrative matters with clients
- Providing personal briefings to a number of pilots regarding their personal requirements for Loss of Licence / Personal Accident insurance
The show also provided the opportunity to catch up, after hours, with friends and clients.
In parallel to the Show, the first conference for Civilian Helicopters in Military Roles (COMR) was held at the Wellcome Trust Conference Centre nearby. Toby Ward made a presentation on the insurance issues for COMR contractors.
To find out more about his presentation and to download a full copy of his speech and presentation slides, follow the links elsewhere in the News section.
Now, back in the office, we are working through the specific opportunities and enquiries from the Show and planning ahead, for the next event that we will be attending, FLY, London Air Show, at Earls Court between 21 - 23rd April 2006.
Helitech 07 seems a distance away, but it won't be long before it comes around. For your information the dates are 2nd - 4th October 2007, at Duxford. See you there!
