On 24th November 2008, the British Helicopter Advisory Board issued the following press release:

"Earlier this year, the BHAB Council of Management voted to change the name of the British Helicopter Advisory Board to more closely reflect its activities. Following approval of a Special Resolution at the AGM, held on 6th November 2008, it was agreed to change our name to the British Helicopter Association. The new name was approved by the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales on 18th November.

Henceforth, we will be known as the British Helicopter Association.

We have begun the process of producing new stationery and literature, as well as creating new website and email addresses. Our new logo is at the top of this Press Release and has also been sent as an attachment. In the meantime, you can still access our existing website, www.bhab.org, and please carry on using our existing email addresses for the time being. Payments should also be made in your normal way until further notice."
