The latest Fly Smart Safety Awareness poster focuses on the additional hazard of shorter days etc during the Winter time. With shorter days it is critical that pilots plan their flights with extra care to allow for darker (earlier) evenings. The nature light at this time of the year is also less bright, making visual navigation harder and the lower sun can also impact visibility.
